Autism screening helps families notice developmental patterns in communication, social interaction, play, behavior, and sensory responses. Screening tools do not diagnose autism, but they can help families decide when a professional evaluation may be the right next step.
What this step helps with

M-CHAT-R is commonly used for toddlers around 16–30 months. CAST may be useful for older children. Screening results should be reviewed with a qualified professional.
